Discover Wine & Spirits LLC in San Francisco (and new to Sonoma), in partnership with the French Wine Society, and a satellite of the The Wine House in Los Angeles, is the officially approved Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) program provider for the Intermediate and Advanced Certification as well as the Spirits Professional Certificate. Our wine and spirit courses in San Francisco are serious and challenging. They are designed for both members of the wine trade and enthusiasts who want to greatly expand their knowledge of wine.

The French Wine Scholar study and certification program is geared for members of the wine trade and serious wine hobbyists; it is designed to test for proficiency in the wines and wine regions of France. The French Wine Scholar is the official curriculum for French wine as endorsed by Wines of France/French National Wine Office, as well as numerous other French wine trade organizations such as Burgundy Wines, Inter Beaujolais, Interrhone, and Provence Wines, among many others. It was developed by the French Wine Society to provide current, accurate information on the wine regions of France and validate proficiency in the Wines of France. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and by U.S. Importers of French Wine as well.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. The WSET is one of the most trusted and internationally-recognized wine and spirit education programs. Currently the program is available in over 47 countries in 13 languages.
